Traffic jams seem to be a hot topic today. Got this video from a Cory Doctorow article that related traffic jams to an event horizon, and read another article in Seed Magazine that describes them in terms of crystallization. Here is where I insert a piercing insight about being able to mathematically model disturbances in systems of critical density that create self-sustaining, multiplying chain reactions (economic bubbles? fame? internet memes?), but I don’t know what it is
